LIMITED COMPANIES

All limited companies must file a copy of their accounts with companies house within 10 months of their year end, at Matthews Hanton we have the expertise and ability to help you achieve this.

Companies house reported in October 2007 that for every 100,000 sets of limited company accounts it received 15,000 were not compliant .

The recent introduction of the Companies Act 2006(hyperlink) which is now effective for year ends commencing on or after 1st October 2007 has placed increased requirements on Directors to ensure that they understand what is expected from them when acting in the best interests of the company and the duty to exercise the appropriate degree of skill and care whilst running their business.

In addition the FRSSE 2007 (effective January 2007) (hyperlink) will effect financial year ends on or after 31st December 2007.

The introduction of both the companies act 2006 and the FRSSE 2007 will increase the importance of producing accurate financial statements, something which we pride ourselves on at MH.
