Pay your taxes on time
We recommend that if you do not want to pay your tax liabilities until closer to the deadline, that you set your own reminders via a calendar or calendar system, as HMRC do not send reminders for Companies and even for individuals they can be erratic.
HMRC will charge interest on late payment.
If you are unable to settle your tax payments as they become due it is important to speak to HMRC as soon as possible to see if you can arrange a “time to pay” agreement.
Where possible consider setting up direct debits for PAYE or VAT liabilities to prevent interest or penalty charges accruing.
